Guest guest
The hotel is very convenient to Dr. H's office. The rooms are clean and are a nice size with a refrigerator, a kitchen table, and lots of closet space. The rates are the same all year long, so if you are traveling at a busy time of the year like I did (I was there last New Year's Eve), it can be a great deal. The rates are reasonable even for not so busy times of the year, and if I recall correctly, they do not charge the hotel tax either. There are local markets, so you can buy food to keep in the fridge. I believe you can also eat at the hospital, and there are a few restaurants nearby. The downside - the area it is in is not the greatest, especially if you venture out at night. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest subway station. The hotel is old, and when we were there, our room was very hot. Luckily, it was freezing outside, and I just kept the windows open. I don't know if that is the norm or not though. All in all, I would stay there again. You could spend a fortune at some of the hotels in NY. Kim C.
