Hi,

My 16-month-old boy has growth problem. He is lack of appetite for food and

16 pounds 12 ounces and 29'' now. His previous Pediatrician has ran all of the

test and everything came back normal including growth hormone, X ray for bone

age. Once she suggest he may have RSS, but the genetics we have saw said nothing

wrong with him as he was born as a small boy (Full term, 5 pounds 8 ounces, 45

cm). We just relocated to Houston and don't know what should we do.

Find another genetics in Houston? Is he RSS or just SGA?

His previous Endo. has given him cyproheptadine for three month. is still

using it while we try to find a local Endo. for him.

is a very active boy and reach all the development milestone. He used to

have reflux and constipation and outgrow after he was 11 month.

Does any Doctor who has knowledge of RSS in Houston? Any suggestion is

apprecited.

hi, i just tried to IM you but.......we lived in league city which is

just south of houston and saw a geneticist in galveston at UTMB i

will look for his name, he was awesome, where did you move from?? most

of kylas doctors were at UTMB, we moved from dallas to go to these

doctors because the doctors here were giving us the run around, and

galvestons were amazing, after kylas diagnosis of RSS we moved back

to dallas because i hated it down there and we figured with a

diagnoses things would be better here, but we were wrong, and we have

talked about moving back down there just for her health!! feel free

to email me if you need to talk!! stephanie kyla 4 RSS
