Question -- Baring Weight on Legs

Can a child bare weight on his legs while in the brace (DBB)? My mother-in-

law is so concerned about our son trying to stand on our laps (with support, of

course) while in the brace. I haven't heard that this is a problem. I'm sure

if it

caused him any pain or grief he wouldn't be doing it, and it doesn't seem like

a question I need to call the doc. for. What do you think? I would assume that

if babies sit up, crawl, pull to a stand, and eventurally walk wearing the the

brace, then, then it's okay for them to practice standing supported on your lap

once they're ready...
