Need help, Periactin question

Is there anyone that knows if periactin can make you really tired and

extremely grumpy. My son just started on periactin and he was so

tired today and very moody. He is taking it to hopefully help his

appetite. He is ADHD, possibly ODD also and takes metadate and has NO

appetite. It is a struggle just to get him to eat sometimes. Makes

me wonder if I need to give him a g-tube also. We're trying the

periactin, but if it is going to make him this tired and moody, I'm

not going to let him take it. He is already a very moody child and

throws fits alot (he hits, screams, pinches, kicks and throws things)

and I really don't think I can handle it getting any worse.

Can someone please tell me it's not the periactin or if it is that

this side effect will wear off.
