Almost a week...

Here I am, 6 days post-op!! I feel almost-kinda-sorta-pretty close to

feeling human again!. I'm pretty sore and the drains are at

the " annoying as hell " stage. I'm scheduled for my post-op. on Wed.,

so hopefully the drains and staples will be a thing of the past.

I've slept in my bed since my first night home (Friday)..seem to do

better in my bed than in the recliner for some reason. I do awaken

several times a night drenched in sweat..but I shift my position and

drift back to sleep. I am a " stomach sleeper " , so that part is hard

for me..I do kinda sleep on my side, buffeted by pillows. I'm

drinking my water (and for a non-water-drinker pre-op, that is an

accomplishment). Eating is hard..not that it's " difficult " , it's

just that I'm not hungry. I'm learning to love sugar-free jello big

time.

ok..it's shower time. One drain site looked kinda icky last

night..maybe a miracle occured overnight and it will look nice and

dry and pink this morning.
