Guest guest
My son is fond of " raspberry " noises. Because of this " mouth stim " , as part of his neurodevelopmental program we use either a toothette or a battery operated toothbrush & swirl it all around his mouth, gums, inside his cheeks & around the lips. The more it's done the more it discourages the behavior & meets whatever need he's trying to fill from the noises. We believe it's because of his mouth area being hyposensitive at times. I don't know if that's the kind of spitting you were referring to but just in case thought I'd write in. Hope it helps a bit. Blessings, Michele (, ASD, 7yrs, Logan, 3.5 yrs)
