has dimples on the sides of her feet but her motor skills, fine and

gross, are above average at nine months and she doesn't have any other

conditions other than the club feet. She crawls, with or without the brace

and is pulling to stand, balancing holding on with one hand. She is ahead

of two of my other three children at this age. Hope that helps,

Hi!

My son has distal arthrogryposis. He DOES have dimples in his elbows and knees

and the sides of his feet. He is not delayed in his fine motor skills, even

though he does have some finger contractures. In fact, he is very advanced in

fine motor. He is more delayed in gross motor (crawled at 12 months, still not

walking independently at 19.5 months). The dimples may or may not be asign of

arthrogryposis. I know plenty of chubby babies who have dimples in their joints

and do not have any condition per se.

hi,

thank you for your replies so far,

i haven't noticed any dimples on any other area of his body. i know

what chubby baby dimples look like, coz my other kids were chubby as

babies but these dimples could also be described as pits or deep

cracks. very distinctive, doc says its due to his excess skin on the

out side of his feet.

i don't know, but could really do with seeing some pics, if i get our

digital camera going i'll put some up of ollie.
