Guest guest
hi, Ollie has bilateral talipies, he's now 9months and coming on brill. he wears his dbb 12hours a day and has done for the last 2ish months. since having his hours reduced he's gone from being behind in his gross motor movements to being in front. he's just 9months and he's proper crawling, sitting himself up and most importantly pulling himself to a stand. he's even taking steps when supported. all the things i thought would take him longer to do. he's nearly court up with my daughter who was 9months when she could stand alone(didn't walk till the day before her birthday then ran but hay) ollie is the last of four by the way. anyway, when he was first born they ummm and arrr about his hands, when this was mentioned aat a later appointment they said he had a weakness in his hands and not agrigryposis(not spelt right but sure someone will). resently i've set up a support group, called the CAN group. Children with Additional Needs for any parent with a child who has a need, epilepy, asthma, right through to cystic fibrosis, ceribal palsey(again not spelt right), etc. well, we have a mum witha child who has agrigryposis. she commented on the dimples Ollie has on the side of his feet and said they were a comment sign of this condition. what has also sent sparks to that light bulb of mine is the fact at ollie's 8month development check it was noted to check up on his pincer grip as it was and still is none exsistent and is starting to use his fore and middle fingers instead. my question for people here is, has any other child here got these dimples and if so have you any pics? and anyone got any knowledge? couldn't of got this far with out this group or others. your all great. eager to get your replies, haz of lincoln, uk.
