Guest guest
Okay everyone - sounds like I got everyone excited about something I shouldn't have - the growth hormone article. My apologies. I will say, however, that in my opinion - it shows an understanding with the FDA that there are children out there who desperately need growth hormone - whether or not it works for them (we still need to try it) and that once approvals begin - there will hopefully be a shift in the view of short-statured children and their need to obtain what is an acceptable height in society. I guess what I'm saying is that every little bit of good news helps - whether or not it has to do with our children. It reminds me of IVF. IVF was not accepted by many insurances for many many years and the majority of insurances still have a hard time accepting IVF as a means to allow those who are otherwise unable to have children. However, IVF is covered by some insurances and it has helped many such as myself. Everytime I read something about IVF in the news - I felt it was always in a positive direction because it got the " news " out there to many people. So, let's hope that this article, being in the Wall Street Journal, gets people to see that short-statured children are out there and that it's important we do " something " about it. So, I guess my next goal is to get an article written myself so that I can spread the word about RSS ?? We'll see. We'll see. Sorry though if I got everyone excited about the GH article. It was not my intentions to dissappoint anyone. - (H)
