Guest guest
Today Madison hasn't complained of any pain and had not vomited however her sugar was good through the night in the 140s but at 9am when she woke up it was 79. Thats the time I disconnect her from the TPN. I still am unable to get her to eat. I can't understand if she's getting that much sugar why is it still dropping? Most children and adults who are on an IV for low blood sugar get 5% or 10% dextrose. Maddy is on 20.23%. UGHHH so frustrating. Last night Dr. H sent me an email and told me to check her sugars through the night and email them to her in the morning so I did. I guess we will see what she things. From the emails she sent me yesterday the philly docs agree with her that NY is the best place for the surgery we just can't seem to get Dr. Spigland on board. Meanwhile Maddy struggles everyday without eating without drinking having belly pain and lythargic from her sugars. Keep ya posted.
