Explanation to groups

Many seem interested in an explanation of our withdrawal from posting to the

groups.

Here it is:

Got a call from 's angry teacher (to whom the letter was not directed),

insulted by what was said in the original letter pleading for information

concerning potential programs for . She would not divulge who had shared

the letter with her. We had hoped putting the note about its confidentiality at

the bottom would thwart folks from sharing it with anyone else, let alone the

wrong persons.

Through tears and total upset, explained that it was not intended to offend her

or anyone else, just a request for desperately needed help which we don't get

unless we shake the bushes. As parents, I guess sometimes we go about things in

all the wrong ways.

In any case, there is a 'leak' out there and we are extremely upset that what

was intended as a plea for information was turned into an insulting letter

directed toward a teacher, for whose efforts we are very grateful. It's not as

if they haven't tried to help in this program and he is loved and cared

for by school personnel.

Suffice it all to say, yet another day of upheaval--all so unnecessary for the

teacher and us--just wanting to do what's best for .
