Guest guest
Lilly has SB L5 and unilateral club foot. Dr Dobbs has been treating her. She has been back in her brace now since Tuesday. Previous problems with the brace kept her out of it for a long time. She was wore a cast again and now I have her in the brace. My questions: When I first take the brace off her heel is very red, white and has a purplish spot (almost patriotic). The white used to be a precursor to huge water blisters but they have not been progressing that far and she seems to be calloused. The red is always there since we had a bad fit one time (never went away, even with nothing on her feet for weeks), the purple is new. Also, I never noticed before, but Lilly's heels are very warm to the touch. Her brace has been altered quite a bit, the AFO part has the heels cut out. I will be going over to Children's for another appointment tomorrow. Do you think I should try to stop in and get it looked at? Dr. Dobbs will not be there but surely someone else could LOOK at it.
