Guest guest
I just want to share our day in NYC today. As we drove into NYC this morning (left the house at 7:25 a.m.) for 's blood test and x-ray, there was no traffic and in fact the traffic lights in NYC were all turning green at the same time. I said to my husband, this is going to well something's gotta give I'm sure. A commute that normally takes 1 1/2 with the traffic took less than an hour. We got to radiology at 8:30 to get 's bone age done but since they took to long to register her, we had to leave to go upstairs for her blood work. She met with Dr. H's two assistances. While she was being measured and then her blood pressure the one assistance decides to tell what she was there for. Well that's when " something's gotta give " gave. She screamed and yelled so bad (I was actually afraid that if Dr H was just arriving she would come in and yell at ). She fasted for this blood test and we had an appointment at 9 but we didnt' get taken until 9:30. threw up a couple of times and screamed before we got the line in. Everytime the doctors came into the room to draw more blood or check on the line she would flip out. I thought this stuff was supposed to make her groggy and tired. Yeah sure. finally fell asleep at the last 10 minutes (after 1 hour and 50 mintues)and woke up to the doctors drawing the last two vials and taking the line out. She then told the doctors that they were her friends. We then went back downstairs to radiology and was very pale. I brought M & Ms for her and other snacks. Thankfully the x-ray went quick. It was just so crazy how crazy and upset was. She was becoming hoarse from screaming so much in the beginning. I hope we don't have to go through that again.
