It is Wednesday, October 3rd, and I'm four days away from going to Chicago

and running in this cruel joke of an event called the Chicago Marathon!

I am trying to convince my body that it won't hurt as much as it did last

time.

I know that when it comes to mile 20 of the 26.2, one needs to dig deep for

inspiration. This year - the people and families affected by autism will be

my inspiration. I will be able to draw from the countless conversations

I've had, and experiences I've hear of from the moms, dads, siblings and the

circle of caregivers who surround our kids who are facing autism everyday.

Over the last 18 weeks, I have run 365 miles, come up with countless reasons

to my family as to why Dad has to go running and 6:00 in the morning - and

now is the time to do it.

I hope that if you can join me in spirit by pledging whatever you can

afford, and asking your friends and family to do they same, we will continue

to raise morey for research and awareness for the voices that cannot be

heard.
