Guest guest
Hi. I bought a Salter digital infant/toddler scale at babies r us. It was the best thing I have ever bought...I use it all the time and track Autumn's weight. It measures up to the 1/2 oz and you can even get 1/4 oz readings if it keeps flashing 1/2. It is amazing how different the weights fluctuate throughout the day and it helps me when she goes to the doctor. Say if one week she is 16 14 and the next they get 16 9 it doesn't mean she lost weight, she may have just had a drink or didnt wet her diaper yet! Then if she is 17 2 it may be because it is her higher weight for the day or even constipated. The docs seem to take things face value as in lost or gained weight when it is really just normal daily fluctuations. The best time to weigh on the scale is naked right after waking up. when going to the doctor, go at the same time of day and with the same type of food/drink at the all the same times becasue these things make a world of difference. Oh, also I forgot to mention I even took the scale to the doctor and tested the weight differences, they are 1 oz off eachother, it helps me track acurately. mom to Autumn 21 mos, Summer 3.5 mos, Ocean 3, Skye 7 > > > > Dawna, > > > > Noah should be weighed on the same scale without a diaper everytime > he > > sees the doctor.
