Guest guest
I don't know anything about secretin but from my reading experience you should not introduce more than one supplement at a time or you will not know which supplement is causing improvements, side effects or nothing. I have heard to introduce one supplement and use it for 3 weeks. This way you can determine what if anything it is doing for you child. If you see nothing or negative effects then you can discontinue. Then introduce another supplement. Leslee
Guest guest
Thanks for replying. I have 2 questions. First, what are transdermal applications, and second, are you saying that these secretin injections which cost $500.00 each only have affects which can be seen for a month??!! Does this mean that after the secretin wears off the postive affects are gone and the negative (if any) are back?? Thanks for clarifying. Also, do you have any advice or experience regarding the Nuthera, TMG, and cod liver oil? We are starting all of that this week....thanks again. >From: felclegg@... >Reply-To: GFCFKids >To: GFCFKids >Subject: Re: secretin >Date: Thu, 27 Sep 2001 09:39:13 EDT > >We have had no adverse side effects with secretin. Guest guest
I also looked in to this therapy and the primary reason I did not try it for my son was that every thing that I read -more or less stated the effects were not permenatnt and the treatments would have to be continued long term to continue the benefits. Remember I did not perdonally try this-just sharing what I remember from my reasearch on it. As for the nuthera-most people use the hypoallergenic formula best. The original woks well for many but it seems the hypoallergenic formula is better tolerated by most. It has generally been reccomended to not to give it after 3 pm because it can cause higher activity levels due to the b vitimins. We tried both formulations and had a huge increase in hyperactivity -which can be countered by more supps-but we discontinued bucause I could not tolereate the effects on my son.F
