Be sure to keep telling your mom this. I think my mom feels badly too

whenever I talk about Sammy's treatment (although she never says

anything). I have told her several times that this method was just

not really recognized in the 60's & 70's, people would have been VERY

lucky indeed to have known about the Ponseti method and treated with

it outside of U of I. The big thing in those days was the PMR as it

was just being pioneered by Dr. Turco at the time. Heck, it's only

just in the last 5 years that the P method has become what you could

consider " mainstream " . More doctors are getting trained in the method

all the time, it's just a matter of finding the ones who are doing it

correctly, without tweaking it, and who have enough experience to

really know what they are doing. I have to laugh at my Ortho now, he

said my foot looks " really good " for a clubfoot. I said it doesn't

feel really good and he should see my son's foot if he wants to see

what really good REALLY looks like!
