Protein and vitamin questions

I'm almost four weeks out. I'm suppose to be taking 3 calapitate and

3 allergy a & d a day, plus two vitamin K plus my multivitamin. On a

really really good day, I can get in two of the calapitate and 2

allergy a & d and 1 vitamin K. I guess I'm wondering how fast

deficiencies appear? My stomach is always upset for hours after

taking the vitamins which is why I haven't been able to get the third

set of vitamins in. Is it critical at this point? or do I still have

time while my stomach adjusts? Also should I be taking a multivitamin

over one of the pills I'm getting in so far. At this point I just

don't see how I can get any additional stuff in since it bothers me so

but I'm trying to get an optimum blend of what I can get down.

Prior to taking vitamins I was getting about 40 grams of protein in a

day. SInce I started with the vitamins last week I'm down to about

30g. My stomach is too upset from the vitamins to eat much more than

that. I've tried the Designer Protein natural and no matter what I

mix it with I can still taste the protein. I don't like any of the

bars I've tried and Carnation Instant Breakfast and Boost both upset

my stomach. Adkins drinks were too sweet for me and the Zone drink

tasted gross. Not to mention I'm just bored with the protein foods

I've been eating. I'm assuming as I continue to heal it will be

easier to get food in but I'm concerned because I'm not getting in

much now. Am I expecting too much at this point? How fast will a

protein deficiency show up? I don't want to get short on things but

I'm having a hard time finding the " perfect " mix of protein and vitamins.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
