Guest guest
We took Hailey to the allergist a few weeks ago and found out that she is allergic to oak trees, elm trees and pig weed. She is starting to show some allergic reaction to dust mites and grass also. The doctor did not want to put her on allergy shots because of her size. He said that although she is 3, she looks like she is about 15-18 months old. He has never put any child on shots that small and wants to wait until we see the new genetics and after we go the convention. Yes, I said we are going to the convention. He wants to see what Dr. H has to say about her before continuing her testing. He only test for inhalants so far. Her endo wanted to start her on GH shots when she turned 3 but her father is kind of worried about the side effects and doesn't want to start her on it right now. We have know since she was at least 2 and 1/2 that her endo wanted to start her on it when she turned 3, but he waited until the last minute. You would think that he would want go to the convention to find out all he could, but he refuses. Ain't that great? I managed to get them a pool and she was able to touch the bottom in it and she took to it like a duck to water. Not scared of it at all. She swam like a little fish. She would not have anything to do with a pool that was over her head, but this one she had a blast in. The only thing bad was that we never could make it work right. So back to Wal-Mart it went when my mom said to go and get a " real " pool and she would help me with the payments. That didn't take me long. LOL. I did start thinking that Hailey would probably not like the bigger pool since she could not touch the bottom in it. Everything changed Monday, July 4th when we went to my brother's house to eat dinner and swim. We put the little floaties on her (they made her arms stick straight out...LOL) and when she realized that they would hold her up, she took off swimming. She finally got tired of those when she found out that she could not stick her head under the water and insisted that granny take them off. After fighting with her and telling her that she would drown if she took them off, granny finally gave her that wish. It didn't take Hailey but a few seconds and she was swimming straight to granny under water (Only thing is she does not know how to pick her head up for air yet!). Just wait until you see her at the pool party at the convention! Just thought I would tell you the news.
