> Hi le,

I just wanted to comment that I have the same issues with ,

and he is almost 12. He does the same things that get him in trouble

over & over & does not learn from his mistakes. He does not learn

from punishment, and rewards don't work either. One of his doctors

suggested something called cognitive affective dissociation, which

basically mens he just doesn't get it! I have always believed

has some kind of processing disorder. Well, he just got

tested by our school district for possible learning disabilities, and

the psychologist just called me yesterday with her results. Lo and

behold, his overall processing skills were within normal limits. His

areas of weakness were not a surprise to me - reading comprehension,

math reasoning, following multi-step directions, and problems with

part-to-whole reasoning. I think many of these factors could be

related to his lack of learning from his behavioral mistakes.
