I have a question for you. Does you stomach hurt when you eat something even if you take enzymes? My girls have been using the glutathione and when we were busy going to relatives for the Christmas holidays there were two days that my girls didn't get the proper amount of glutathione the next days they complain about there stomach more then they every had. I was really worried that they were coming down with something but they were eating and they did not have a temp. I was just wondering if that is something you fight with everyday. I know the nurse at school has even said they do not complain about there stomach near as much. I was just wondering if the glutathione was helping them more with there stomach. I think I will try the smaller meals and see if that works. Thanks Deb A PS have you gotten our picture that I sent you?

She has 3 boys that have been on it her oldest has been on it for 5 years and they have all been very well. We started taking it in Sept and so far so good!! Guest guest
I have had some bad stomach problems for a while now. They started during high school. I was always not eating since I had so much problems with bloating and constipation. When your stomach hurts all the time, it's hard to have a good meal. After seeing tons of gastro-specialits here in Toronto, I was prescribed mineral oil daily, and go-lightly (that is spelled wrong, but it is this horrible substance that clears you out, it's awful to drink. and you have to take 2 gallons within a few hours. I hated it). So I took matters in my own hands and started to experiment with foods etc. What I learned, and what has stuck with me and worked really well since now I have normal digestion, is I started to eat small meals. Basically eating all day, but small amounts at a time. Same calorie intake, just no huge meals. Restaurants kill me like that. I go and eat these huge un-human portions, and then I can't go for the next week. The pain from that is horrible. I recommend, and this is only what works for me, is small meals and small enzyme intake at a time. So a couple here, then the next hour a couple there. In fact I think that I take in more calories this way, than eating 3 large meals a day. I don't know what the glutathione is? But I certainly fight with the digestion part of CF just as much as the lung part. The worst part is that it always caused me to have issues with food, since for along time food came with stomach pain, which meant that I ate less than normal people should. Let alone people that need high calorie and sugar diets. Then diabetes came along, and that's a whole different ball game. But again, more restrictions on food and diet. Insulin is great. But the whole drama around eating makes me crazy. Sorry, that probably did not help. Guest guest
Thanks Natalia. I am going to forward this post to Toni, my daughter. Abby, my grand daughter, has huge constipation issues. Maybe they could try the small meals. Consider that. I know that some of the obstructions that I had, I had for months, sometimes a year. When they finally took X-Rays they found obstructed bowel that had been there for ever. That causes you not to really be constipated, since food still squeezes through, but it causes pain in the back and cramps, tummy hurts. Sometimes it is important to get that X-Ray done and go home with this drink they give you to clean stuff out. It's an afternoon on the toilet. Not so much fun. But the goal is that you eventually excrete clear liquid, and you know that all is well in there. It's no big deal to do, but to leave blockages in there can be severe over time, not to mention painful. It could be something totally different. But this one is easy to ask about at Clinic, and easy to fix. HMMM Neither one of my kids have had bowel blockage even at birth. Can you still get blocked even though it has not been a problem before? Deb A

Guest guest
Natalia, GOSH!!! Another really helpful post. I wonder if the CF Clinic would xray Abby's stomach to see if she has any blockages. She has way too much stomach pain. Thanks, Gale Grandma to Abby (2yo wcf) > > > In a message dated 1/6/2004 4:33:30 PM Central Standard Time, > > boguslawska@m... writes: > > and watch increasing enzymes. when I take too many, I have more > > stomach problems. Guest guest
I would demand it. I went through 3 years of horrible stuff happening to my stomach. I always recommend to act. All that can happen is that there is nothing there are we look towards something else. Always eliminate what you can, and unfortunately you might have to initiate it yourself. Doctors are good when you are REALLY sick, but not so good when you are okay. I've learned that. On Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at 01:45 PM, danieleverettharris wrote: > Natalia, > > GOSH!!!
