Guest guest
Steatorrhea means fat in the stool; diarrhea means water in the stool, not that one cannot have both--the enzymes primarily address the digestion of fats, proteins and some carbohydrates--this varies greatly with the person; I do not even like to recall the pre-enzyme era, frankly--not fun! Also, we now have proton pump medications such as prilosec, aciphex, prevacid, where in dicated, and reglan to increase motility (gut movement) to prevent that char ming clogging up of the gut--all in all, I do think that a person wcf has a higher quality of life, gut-wise, now than forty years ago-- n Rojas, who has had the good fortune to live long enough to survive several eras of alleged " treatment " of cystic fibrosis-- Yahoo!
