n,

Thanks for the info. I had forgotten that the acidity level also

effects the digestion. So... we have to balance it all! Abby takes

Prilosec, Zantec and Pancreacarb. I don't know how anyone can find

the right combination, when you don't know how well the child will

eat from one meal to the next.

Gale

Gale,

This was never explained to me by a doctor but another list member

clued me into this. Once I tried it Zach has had fewer loose stools.

Zach in on Previcid (awesome) once a day. I give it to him one half

our after his enzymes. For the hour after his Previcid, I do not

give him anything that requires enzymes - not even milk. The

Previcid will make the enzymes not work anyway. Usually this works

well and Zach is not asking to eat anyway. After that hour then we

are back to normal. We were on Zantac for a while and Pepcid for a

while, but Previcid is the best so far. We are also on Pancrecarb.

Zach gets four MS-4's with meals. He weighs 23.25 pounds

Hope this helps.

SAra - mommy of Zach almost 23 months
