Guest guest
Mark, Thanks for the reply. I will look that information up as you suggested concerning antioxidents. That was a major concern. I understand that you do need the fat and other nutrients in your body, but since you cannot digest much of them, you should use other methods to obtain them. Am I correct? I am not sure how they are. I know in the hospital, the doctor said my enzymes were too low and they gave me potassium intravenously. Loretta Greer Tennessee Have a good day and God Bless! Guest guest
Mark/Lorretta, my doctor has me taking potassium pills, mainly because I'm taking a diuretic to help relieve some of my edema, but I have noted that when I'm in the hospital, all my IV fluids have postasium in them because my potassium levels ae low. I wonder how many other of us are having problems with low potassium levels? Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
Loretta, oops, that was a typo. I meant to say Edema. It's basically water retention so bad that when you press on the skin, it makes a depression and it takes a very long time to undent (usually the skin undents immediately). At it's worst, it can cause heart problems, so it can be a serious issue. I have to sit with my feet up a lot of the time. When i take my medicine for it, I have to lay down on my right side for 15 minutes and I take it three times a day. I also have to take potassium pills because the diuretic they have me on (Lasix), lowers potassium levels. Hope this helps explain it some. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
