Guest guest
If they look at me as if I were really sick when I am in the hospital, I KNOW things are rough, as I usually look positively radiant if I run a fever, otherwise, rather light olive-skinned, which is enough to make anyone look rather unwell. I usually am cowardly when really ill: brush teeth, bathe, etc. brush hair without even looking to see if that is really ME in the mirror--until I have gotten a bit better--I do hope that you are on the mend--we are all pulling for you--get your brother in there to cheer you up! Lots of love, n Rojas, wcf, in Oakland, California what I am feeling now while in the hospital Thank you for saying I'm pretty. I don't feel so pretty right now though. I hate the way people look at you when you're sick. Sometimes that bothers me more than being sick in the first place. Is that crazy? I am one of those people for whom looks matter so much, and total independance. And I know that is not always the best thing, especially in the eyes of a disease like CF, but I think about it a lot. And it bothers me so much. It kills me sometimes, and then I feel guilty that I care about something so shallow when I am having trouble breathing. when my friends come and visit and they are all made up and look and feel so great I feel so badly. then I feel badly that I feel badly - it's strange. Guest guest
You are not shallow, you are human(and a very cute one). Since I have told several embarrassing stories about my self, I will share with you my glamorous hospital story. I hope it can make you feel a little better. Zach was due in April but on a cold February morning my water broke, so at 5am I take off for an hour drive to the hospital. My husband was 4 hours away on business. I left without showering, brushing my teeth, or anything else. After I was admitted, my whole family and my husband's family came to the hospital. There I was hairy legs, bad breath, body odor, frizzy hair and a catheder hanging from my side. I was gorgeous! To top it off, I met my future brother-in-law that day. What a great first impression. Of course I was worried about Zach, but I have to admit I was worried about how I looked. I am only human. Sara > > > Here's me. Guest guest
Natalia, Well... I'm sure that you look better on your worse day than I do on my best day! Gale > > > > > Here's me. Guest guest
Glad you liked it. If I can think of any other stories to give you a lift I will be sure to post them. Sara > > > > > Here's me.
