Guest guest
Dear Janice, I also have pancreas divism and I researched permanent stents for the pancreas and they don't make them yet. They make metal ones that don't get eated by the enzymes but it gets stuck inside the ducts and can cause problems and then will have to be removed surgically. The plastic stents clog and must be replaced/removed. Wish they would invent a permanent one soon. Like maybe one that squirts a bit of water daily to keep the stent unclogged. MMMmmmm Not sure if there is one for the bile ducts. I just finished with progressive stenting of my pancreas and I am pain free and can eat everything again. I do watch what I eat though. When I block up, I double over in pain and throw up if I try and eat. So I go and get the stents again. Welcome to the group.
