My son turned 4 months old on May 26th. We noticed his plagiocephaly on May 11th and saw the pediatrician and then Cranial Tech about what to do with his flat spot. From the day I noticed his flat spot we have had him sleeping/laying only on his side unless in the carseat. We try to keep him upright however as much as possible. He gets his doc band tomorrow, and I don't know what if any side sleeping has but for my son, his plagio has not improved at all in a month of repositioning. If anything it looks worse to me. His ears are really misalligned now. Maybe I am just more aware of it now and am noticing what I just couldn't see before but side sleeping/repositioning did nothing for my son.

One more question about repositioning

Just scheduled our free evaluation at hanger's. But I do have one last question about repositioning before I make up my mind for the band: I started to put Dennis to sleep on his side since the day before. Do people think this might work somehow? btw, heAnybody has experiences with having baby sleeping on the side?'s turning 4 month old in 10 days.

Hi Helen, My son will be 4 months on the 19th. He was diagnosed with plagio at 2 1/2 mths. We have been diligently repositioing for 1 1/2mths and I think his plagio is getting better. It definitely has not gotten worse. We go back to Hanger next week and will be remeasured. He had a 10mm difference at 3 mths. As far as laying on his side, we went to Babies R Us and bought the wedges and lie him on his left side every night. However, he always seems to scoot himself to his back and tilt his head back to the right, exactly where he wants it. But I am trying as hard as I can. That's all we can do.
