Hi Helen. I'm in the same boat. The nearest CT from me is in Charlotte, NC, 4 hours away. I have a Hanger in my town. My son had his 1st evaluation at 3 months at Hanger. I didn't know enough to ask the right questions, but after joining this group, I will be asking at our next appt. in 2 weeks. I'm going to ask the orthotist how long has he been fitting helmets? How many has he done? What results has he had? Can I see any pictures of before and afters? After this appt, then I will decide if I want to make that 4 hour trek every week or two. (which I really, really don't want to do.) I hope this helps.

Hi everyone, I'm so happy that I found this group. My son is 3 months and half and has plagio and a brachy (I think he's moderate). Our ped recommends DOC band since he has sent patients there before, but our closest center is at Chicago which is 3 hrs drive away. We do have a hanger in town, but our ped has no experiences with them. I read some old posts and sounds like hanger varies from location to location. So just wondering if anyone here is from urbana-champaign area?

Thanks for your reply. I just scheduled an appointment with Hanger orthotist

next Monday. I asked them over the phone and sounds like he's an experienced guy

who works with a number of plagio kids. I will make sure that I ask him all

those questions at our appt. I do want to make sure that my baby's head is good

hands... Good luck with your treatment.
