Guest guest
Cindy: You need to call your insurance company every other day and bug the heck out of them. If they say they didn't get it......then ask to speak with the Supervising Pre-Cert RN. Don't let them stall. Keep on them. Guest guest
ME TOO! I am so impatient, I am waiting for approval. Hey, try tracing your mail. THat's how I made my insurance find mine. They lost the first one, I sent second express, it took it 2 days to get there, they claimed they did not have it, I said Yep you do, so and so signed for it at so and so time.. 10 Minutes later.... " we have it! " I am going on 11 days that they have had it and no response. I called on day 7 and they have no answer. I will call tomorrow and again on Friday. I dread calling though, almost scared they will not approve. But, I have the black and white that says they will pay for it if I meet criteria... I do.. So I shouldn't be scared! I will report tomorrow if I hear news... Impatient in Ga,

Guest guest
: I have Aetna PPO also. I got a name of a person in the customer service department and I made it her only goal in life to follow my letter. I sent the first regular mail because I was told it may be faster but that must have been the wrong thing to do because they say they never got it. I then faxed it to the customer service rep and she hand carried it to the review department, She then called me as soon as they approved it. They did call Dr. Rutledge to make sure what kind of surgery he was planning on doing and said they would not pay for the band. They then wrote me and Dr Rutledge a letter. All this took about 7 days from the day I faxed the letter to the rep, My insurance devision is in Tampa and is with CSX railroad. I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I would sure like to know exactly how much they will pay and If they have a usual and customary rate for this surgery. Guest guest
: I had Aetna PPO also. It went to review and was approved in about 7 days. I bugged them every day. If you can get a name for your contact person that will help and bug her to death. They said they lost (or never got the first claim) I faxed and made to the attention of this person I got her name. She hand carried it to the review department and then called me when she heard they would pay. They did call Dr. Rutledge and make sure exsctly what kind of surgery was being done. They listed the band as not accepted but accepted the Mini Gastric wrote: > I have Aetna PPO. > There are no exclusions, I have checked. > I am just impatiently waiting. > in Georgia > >

Guest guest
Cindy, I used the number on the receipt from mailing it to track the packet down. Then I called the insurance company and told them that I traced it and so and so signed for it. They found it. Look on your receipt... in Ga. Guest guest
, I have Aetna PPO. I called and spoke directly to the Nurse Manager in the Pre-determination dept. and asked her for a fax number. I faxed my letter directly to her. She took it in to the med. director and I had an approval in a total of 3 days!!!! Keep calling and speak to one person. Peace and love, Ruqayya in Miami Pre-op 11/2/
