Becki,

I am glad that you are doing better and able to be home. I hope the nausea and

vomiting goes away soon. takes reglan for her delayed stomach emptying,

it seems to work well for her. It sounds like the camp plans are going well. It

sounds like something would love when she is a bit bigger! You are still

in my prayers.

Becki update

Hey All

I am home agian from another lovely 2 week stay at club med.Hopefully I'll be

able to stay out longer than 2 weeks this time ! ! ! I have to call the

coordinator at Mayo and let her know I'm home and starting rehab Monday.Ive

been

trying to get into a closer rehab but after 6 months of trying I gave up and

am

now going to do Dukes pre-tx rehab.I saw how well their TX folks did, including

Tricia (my hubby couldn't believe she'd had a TX just 4 weeks prior) and the

rehab had to have played a significant part in the way they bounced back.I am

really weak so I am really excited about it.

I also have set the date for camp this summer to :

June 21st through the 25th.

It'll be up in the mountains again and we'll have a ton of activities. Im not

sure I'll be there but we'll have plenty of RT's,Nurses, and a doc plus

parental volunteers.

This years camp has a pool (kept very clean),Climbing wall with zip

line, nature trails,Rooms with AC and heat, hot showers, home made

meals(country cooking),horseback riding through the mountain trails, and of

course Rafting and a ropes course. It'll be a blast. The location that we were

to

have camp would involve too much of me right now and with this camp you just

pay a very reasonable price of $260(scholarships are available) and they

handle everything else.

Anyways....thats that. It'll be at Coker Creek in Tenneessee.

This hospital admission though, I kept having terrible trouble with nausea

and vomiting. There hasn't been a day where I haven't at least dry heaved over

some toilet or trash can since the middle of December.I kid you not.I have

delayed emptying and wonder if thats the cause or what...Im living off of

phenergan

though....is this common before TX or is this a totally different GI thing?

I am just so excited about being able to dream about a future again I can

hardly wait....that may sound warped but Ive been sick for a long time.

Hi Becki,

We are so happy to heave you back. I hope your wait for tx is short! About the

heaving thing, I wouldn't know but it doesn't sound fun. The camp does though!

I wish we lived closer then maybe could go.

love,

Glad to hear you're better Becki. You are constantly in our thoughts

and prayers. My 2 1/2 yr. old, Chloe, prays for you every night.

Hope you get to enjoy camp and that rehab goes smoothly so that the

ultimate goal comes to pass which is a very successful tx. God bless

you.
