Hi,

I rang Chrissy this afternoon, and she is doing so much better. Her

voice is so chirpy and doesn't even have any of the slurriness (is

that a word? if not it is in 's dictionary *L*) that she

sometimes has being on pain meds.

Firstly, before I forget, she said the cards she has received are

beautiful. Thankyou Heidi, & Sue, and anyone else who may have

sent one to her. Sue, your card had her and a nurse who read it in

tears. The nurse couldn't believe that someone wrote such a lovely

note to a person whom she has never met in person. Chrissy explained

just what such a close knit family this group has become sharing

this one common bond.

And Sue, Chrissy said if you were able to change your arrangements,

you should try to go to the Mayo clinic in ville where Heidi

went because they are probably the best out of the 3 for the

digestive system. Also, let them do whatever they want to you if it

will help you in the long term.

had her first decent meal last night. It sent her sugar

level to 203, but she was greatful that she was able to eat. Other

than that her levels are starting to even out some now.

She wants to ween herself off her pca pump. She is now on .2mg

Dilaudid every 10 minutes if she needs it and just started on

Percocet 15mg at a time. She has never tried Percocet, so I welcomed

her to the Percocet Club, and told her that it is pretty good for

controlling pain.

Today is also her and Billy's 20th wedding anniversary.

She will be in hospital until the end of the weekend, and is hoping

to get released soon after that. She has to stay until the 6th I

think it is when she has a followup with Dr s, and she is

expected to come back in a months time for the endocrinologist to

measure her islet cells level.

Apparently the surgeon still doesn't believe it was her pancreas

causing her pain. I told her that for her sake I hope it was and at

the very least to prove him wrong and her doctor right *S*...she is

laughing and just generally of very high spirits. So different from

the person who went into surgery a week ago.

She loves everyone on this site, and with that I shall finish up for

now.
