Guest guest
Welcome Marie. The squash or pumpkin button are good after the intro. They don't have nuts in them. Jenn & K New Member from Australia Hi My name is Marie and I have 3 autistic children. Almost 9 year old twin boys and a 7 year old girl. My husband and I are about to start the diet, first we need to get Elaine's book from Amazon and then we have to work out what they will eat. I have one problem, my daughter is in a class with a boy who is violently allergic to peanuts and nuts, so does anyone know of any recipes for snacks that don't have nuts or peanuts in them. Thanks Marie

Until your book arrives here are some tips for getting started on the diet: http://pecanbread.com/new/scdfoods1.html#transition http://pecanbread.com/new/scdfoods1.html#intro (dairy free intro diet) http://pecanbread.com/new/success1.html http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/beginners_guide/beginners.htm (original intro diet including dairy) http://pecanbread.com/new/scdfoods1.html#menu http://pecanbread.com/new/scdfoods1.html#beyond My kids school is fish and nut free. I send ripe bananas, homemade applesauce, meringue cookies (honey and egg whites) other fruit, yogurt, honey and fruit (bananas, strawberries, blueberries etc), pieces of cheese. I've made grilled cheese sandwiches, homemade jam and cheese sandwiches etc.. for them with the " Nut free dairy, free bread " (the recipe is at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/files/ ) Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 23 yrs mom of Em and dan
