Guest guest
Thank you all very much for the good advice and yeah that means you too Cath...lol! I will stick with the creon 10, they have prescribed for only 1 with meals. Ya'll have me wondering if I should have more. I have to admit, I have forgottent to take it. What happens if I dont take it with meals or if I take it after or during the meal? Have ya'll ever forgotten to take it and had any ill affects? Lilly made a big bright flowery poster and taped it to the dinning room window reminding me to take it and I still forget. I'm doing great withthe insulin and blood sugars though. I think the iselt are starting to kick in as my morning level is getting lower. They said it could take up to 3-6 months to see if the procedure really worked. Thanks for the help ya'll; this is the best group of people I have ever met and I am all the better a person for it. I hope you all have true blessings for the holidays, and the new year. Guest guest
Chrissy, Not to interfere with your physician's advise, but in my opinion, I don't think 1 Creon is enough. The research says that you need a minimum of 30,000 units of lipase for the best defense against malabsorption. I know 1 capsule of Creon 10 doesn't meet that. BTW, I take 5-6 Viokase16's with each meal. I keep my enzyme container on the table in front of where I eat. It lives there, except for the vial that I carry with me in my glucometer case for use when I'm away from home. If you put it on the dining room table, it's hard to forget. I've only forgotten to take them once, and remembered at the end of the meal, so I took them then, anyway. I've never forgotten them totally at a real meal. The only thing that could possibly happen if you forget to take them is that you would not absorb the nutrients, etc., and you could perhaps have some loose bowels as a result.
