Guest guest
Thanks Kimber. I will let you know how the surgery goes. Hopefully it will boil down to her not having it done, but we will see. Loretta Greer Tennessee Have a good day and God Bless! Guest guest
Suzi, My eye doctor said the palsy was due to long term diabetes and high blood pressure, both of which I have. It created a microvascular problem, which caused the palsy. It's possible that the retching caused your blood pressure to spike high and broke some vessels in the eye. Also it could be a sign that you are close to being a diabetic as it can cause problems with the blood vessels in the eyes and cause many kinds of damage to the eyes. Thanks for the good wishes on my eye sight. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
Fliss, thanks for your wishes to have me get better. I think all the well wishes from the group are working, at least a little as I've been able to actually eat soup with solid vegetables and such in it for the past two days. I hate going on liquids because I always get SOOOOO hungry that if I'm not careful, I over eat and make myself sick again when I'm able to go on solid food again. Ugh. Right now, I'm only eat a cup of soup at a time, and I mean only a cup serving size. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
Hi Kimber, I saw your message in which you said you couldn't have a total pancreactectomy as you are already diabetic, and would need a pancreas transplant and immunosuppressive drugs. I have had a total pancreatectomy without ICT, as that is the surgery that my surgeon performs. There are not many surgeons in the Uk who perform ICT. Therefore, i became diabetic as a result of the surgery. I have not had a pancreas transplant. Just wanted to say, that being diabetic, doesn't mean you can't have a total pancreatectomy. I am managine quite well without a pancreas. Sue
