Guest guest
Hi, I have three boys taking this supplement. Two of them have yeast issues, we didnt see any improvement with this. They have been taking for two months. Probiotics of any kind in our experience hasnt changed stool tests for my kids. We continue to have yeast and malabsorption issues. I am looking into a more natural way to deliver the good bacteria. maybe actually eating the fermented goods is a better way. We are going to try goat milk yogurt with progurt starter. We tried nut yogurt but it was too nutty, sour tasting Sorry I couldnt be of more help, just our experience. Noelle > > Just looking through the new website (it's Wonderful)!!!! Guest guest
I thought several here were using s. boulardii to treat the bacteria " clostridia " not yeast. I didn't know it was a type of probiotic. I am still fairly new, so I readily admit to " serious lack of knowledge " when it comes to all this stuff. My DAN recommended we try it in about a month or so to treat my son's diagnosed clostridia (not the dificile kind). Becky instylemom wrote: Hi, I have three boys taking this supplement. Guest guest
I know that s.boulardii is supposed to be helpful against clostridia overgrowth. I was not aware of it having any effect on yeast. In fact, s.boulardii is a " friendly " yeast itself. The anti-yeast enzymes seem to be a good avenue.... Candidase and Candex are both enzyme products that are SCD legal. Goat yogurt should help a lot. Wonderfully healing stuff! Guest guest
Becky, I think s.boulardii is supposed to be helpful against clostridia difficile. I honestly don't know about the other types. I hope it will work well for you guys..... I'll be anxious to know the outcome. Guest guest
Oops, you guys are right. I get so confused on my three boys tests as to which supplement does what. Sorry for the uninformed post. we are supposed to be following the clostridia protocol for one of my boys. Thats where we got the S. boulardi from. We already use candex for yeast, but no results so far. I think the goat yougurt we will give a try, thanks for the advice Ill be more careful next time I post, lol. Guest guest
My understanding is that S. boulardii is a " good " non-propagating yeast. So you use it when the bad stuff is dieing off so that there is no room for it to live. In other words it takes up sapce so that the bad stuff doesn't have any room to grow.
