Guest guest
Hi Chrissy, Is it Creon 10,000 you're taking? Is so, how many are you having? I am on Creon 40,000 - and i take 6 - 8 with each meal. I have got this windy bloating every time i have had my dose increased. Cutting the dose down a bit, and increasing gradually over a few weeks has helped. Also, it does settle with time, as i'm sure Fliss will verify. Take care. Guest guest
Good morning ya'll. I hope that everybody's holiday plans are going beautifully. Things will be very simple this year. I doubt I will even be able to bake but thats ok. The kids dont mind too much, hope Santa doesn't mind store bought cookies. but I do have have a question about enzymes. I started on creon 10 right after the surgery and it seems to be doing well as far as digestion. However, it gives me terrible gas. Is there anything I can take with it or a different enzyme that wouldn't give me that painful gas. It wakes me up at night and last forever. Any help ya'll can offer would be appreciated. Merry Christmas ya'll. Love Chrissy
Guest guest
Chrissy, I've taken Creon, Ultrace, Lipram and now Viokase enzymes. Had the gas with them all, yet now the Viokase seems to be the worst. I've had no real success with reducing it, and also notice it especially bad at bedtime. Bob has complained now that both the odor and noise when sleeping with me can be worse than when he was camping out at the " Good 'Ol Boys " yearly fishing trips......that is a humiliating and embarrassing comparison! Three things I've noticed that help. Don't eat anything after 8 PM. Or, and, I take an antigas OTC medication called Phazyme. I take 3-4 of these when I eat, and that does seem to help. I've also noticed that if I take an extra enzyme or two, the flatulence is less. Otherwise, I'm out of suggestions, and would love to find something better that worked.
