Do not think of what date he is up to? Make yourself available for any

cancellations during a certain period. Since you are not trying to get a

date with anyone else and since you are self-pay, just go for it.

Remember many people scheduled have health issues that make them postpone.

Remember that Dr. R does what he want, when he wants. Get approved and let

him know how you need this to work to get you back to school!!!

This is my day 6. I went back to school half day on day 3 and a full day on

day 5. He encouraged me! He wants candidates who can make a quick recovery

and get on with life. The nurses at Durham Regional say teachers are great

patients because they listen and follow directions.

Also keep a notebook with all of your paperwork, just like you do for

committee work. Have it with you at all times. Keep calling. Go to clinic

on Tuesday and tell them you will stay for any cancellation this week. I

said that on Tuesday and got in on Friday. They knew on Tuesday that they

had a Friday cancellation.

This is from North Carolina. I sent in my packet on Wednesday, it was

recieved Thursday at 12:58 pm and I got a call from Barbara on Monday

morning. I got a surgery date of Nov 17th with no problem. I needed that

date because I am working on my Masters and I didn't want to miss too much

school. Now I wont because the week of the 20th-27th is my Thanksgiving

Break. But just be patient. She told me they usually get in touch with you

within the week.

As I recall the office contacted me as soon as Dr Rutledge reviewed my

packet. At that point they offered me a date that was two weeks away. I dont

know what the wait is like now.

Dear Jon (always wanted to write that)

After desperately calling my CPA for the above mentioned financial statement,

then recklessly searching through box after box of photos to find just the

perfect one that does not make me look fat, well, I realized something.

Number one, I am fat and no photo has ever hidden that fact! And two, Seems

as if I am not as desperate as I led you to believe.

You see, there is this pesky little thing that kept showing up in all the

photos and even on my financial statement……..a Husband!

At first I thought, I would just crop the lesser of the evil photos. Chop it

right in half. However, when I went to crop the financial statement I

realized a truth that cannot be veiled. You see, without my husband's

financial info, I am not very attractive. As a matter of fact, the most

attractive thing about me is how happily I am married!

So it is with great regret and a heavy heart that I must end this budding

romance before it ever really blooms. Oh the pain of it all.

Oh yeah, and number three, I am afraid will do a drive by bi*ch

slapping if I dare flirt with you ever again. She is in much better shape

than me and I am repectful of that!

Dear Desperate:

Quite sorry. I guess you'll have to stick with Plan B. I always try to honor

my great-grandmother's memory by remembering her last words to me on her

deathbed (and I'm not making this up!): " All things being equal, it's just as

easy to fall in love with a rich girl as it is with a poor girl. "

Unfortunately, my first wife did not meet that criterion. Now that I'm an

impoverished educator we'll see how far I get with Helen of Troy #2!!

Well Jon all I can say is that it is definately a good name. There are not

that many of us in the word though. isnt all that common of a name,

but I love it. Thanks for the kind words, I am sure the from land

feels the same.
