Guest guest
This isn't cf related at all. I set my kitchen on fire this evening. I was cooking (well cremated seems more appropriate now) and pulled the griller out to take out the meat when flames came rushing out, obviously from the fat in the tray, and went up the doors and hot plates. I didn't know what to do, I knew not to put water on it, so I shoved it back in the griller to try and stop the O2 getting to it. Then I called 000 and the fire engine came. It was nearly out by the time it got here. The disconnected the gas so now we wont have any hot water tomorrow so I made everyone have their shower tonight. I had to call the insurance but of course it was after hours and they will call back tomorrow. They said we needed a gas plumber (?) and then a new cooker. Were hoping it wont take long as we cant cook at the moment, or boil the kids their eggs(and soldiers) for breakfast. We need it to all happen before Thursday as Eilish goes into the hsp. then. So fingers crossed the insurance company will move quickly. Liam was so funny, he's yelling get out of the house. Then he's running around looking for his cat to make sure she is safely outside. Then he stood on the porch waving down the ambulance. Eilish was at girl guides so she missed all the excitement. The neighbours, miraculously all had to water their lawns at that time. The kids next door all filled through. So now no one will want me cooking in their kitchenLOL. At least it doesn't smell smoky. Being very hot here we have the ducted a/con on so they said just keep the fans running and it will suck it all out, which it has. After the take of open fireplaces and candles I was worried about Eilish's lungs. Anyway enough for one day. Guest guest
Dear , Wow how scary! sure am glad you're all ok including the cat. I have one question. I know what eggs are but what are soldiers? I am assuming they aren't the military type. I don't think you'd have them for breakfast. Well you might have them OVER for breakfast but.................(yes I am being silly) love, M
