Yes, the distinction applies also to almond flour and almond meal -

essentially it is the same for all nut flours and nut meals. But

sometimes there is disagreeement what is nut meal. Sometimes it is

what is left after pressing the nuts and sometimes it is the bits

left after making nut pieces.

Almond meal is different than almond flour but this company may not

have it labelled correctly. I would contact them and ask if it is

nut meal or nut flour (ie if the oil has been removed from the nuts)
