Guest guest
I just spoke to my doctor yesterday re: I was starting to have pain again. It has been 2 months vertually pain free. I asked about my dx of Cambridge Class V Chronic pancreatitis and I didn't get the answer I wanted to hear. She said that it is the WORST. I will no longer benefit from having anymore stents. The only option I have is pain control and MAJOR Surgery. SHe said she didn't think I would benefit from the Whipple because the damage I have includes the whole pancreas. Now I am going to call and see exactly what my life expectancy is. I am only 37 years old. My mom was not surprised because she said this is exactly what the doctor told her back in August but I didn't think it was that serious. All I remember hearing was the doctor saying that he couldn't do the stenting anymore. I didn't know that that was the end of it. I know other have spoke of having the pancreas removed but she said it isn't possible. I think I need to get a second opinion. Any advice is helpful. Sincerly, Patty Duley, Office Coordinator L.
