Guest guest
Carol, I have been on nexium for a year now and it has helped some with the heart burn. Are you sure its just not a bad flare? my throat hurts like fire especially on the outside. But I take cytoxan so nothing helps with the stomach nausea and heartburn from certain foods. Good luck in finding out the problems. I wonder if the Drs. have to sit around all day if they have a problem? I doubt it. Hang in there, sending extra hugs and prayers from Texas your way luv
Guest guest
Prednisone always messes with my stomach. I have taken both Prilosec and Prevacid and they both did the job. Sometimes Gaviscon works wonders. It's over the counter, so you don't need a script. It forms a foamy barrier between your stomach and esophagus that really does soothe. It works a lot better than Tums or similar stuff in my experience... HTH -- Kathleen in Texas HEARTBURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need help!!!! Have been on Predisone since Sept 12th, 40mgs.Am down to 15mgs now and I have terriable HeartBurn...Went to the Dr and they said it could be from the Predisone so they gave me persricption for Nexium 40mgs.Still have it and my chest or throat feels different. Its not my heart, its like in my chest and throat.Do you think I should go in or is it the side affects of coming down from the Predisone?Never had this bad heartburn from when I was on Predisone before.Think its because I have stayed on preds longer dosages at a time.Last time I was on certain Mgs and took it every other day. Not every day.So hard to figure out what to do.Have a call in to my Rhuemy but he hasnt called yet. Called him at 10:30 am an its 4:30pm now!!!!!!!!Hope he will call after he gets done with his patients...Any suggestions would be wonderful!!!!!!!!Carol A DISCLAIMER!!WE ARE NOT MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, THEREFORE ANY INFORMATION THAT IS RECEIVED HERE IS FROM EXPERIENCE ONLY.
