My son began helmet treatment at 17 months old and wore 2 bands until a little passed 2 years old and we saw significant improvement to his plagio/asymmetries. Cranial Tech will band up to 24 months old (that's where we went). Are you in the states? We have been trying to get him in a helmet since around 6 months and the doctors kept saying the plagiocephaly would fix itself by the time he turned 1. At 18 months, he is still very flat on the right side of his head and now too old for a helmet. He also has misaligned (sp?) facial features. Does anyone know of any reconstructive surgery options for when he gets a little older?
