Hi-

Just a quick note to let you know about something we learned at

last weekend's CFF Annual Dinner. (I hope I have not already posted

this- I have been a little scattered this week getting our little guy

ready to go in for surgery!)

There was a state rep there who has had a long standing connection

to cf through friends etc. who has been working on a bill to allow

children with cf to be able to carry their own enzymes in school

without going to the nurse etc. By strange coincidence (or not) he

and his wife had a new baby recently and he or she has... you guessed

it- cf. Anyway, he said that the bill has gone through all the

required channels and should soon be on the governor's desk for

signing. He said that Gov. Romney has assured him it will be signed

the day he receives it. So that is good news for all of our kiddos

who sometimes get a hard time in school about carrying their enzymes

and taking responsibility for their own health. Just thought you'd

like to know.

Take care,

Debi

Agreeing with Bev's post about allowing children to carry their own enzymes

for lunch--which is likely to pass in Massachusetts! Love to all, n
