Guest guest
I am the person who got insurance approval and had surgery within two weeks of starting the process. This was just one time when everything fell into place. I had watched my good friend since her summer surgery, so I knew what homework to do and what to expect. Just for the record: I have had no pain since I used the med pump when I woke up in the hospital. Kept waiting for gas, but none!!! My husband looked at my 5 incisions on the second day, said they were all dry and took off the bandages. I experiment with all kinds of mushy food and I have never " dumped " . I do limit my eating to 2 TBs at a time. Had 4 Saltines with crab spread for dinner. Had Chinese sweet and sour soup for lunch. I went back to work on Monday after Friday surgery for half day. I have shopped all week-end with my daughter for wedding stuff. The wedding is next June so I will not pick out my dress until much later. I have not weighed yet. I go to my local doc to have stitches taken out Tuesday and I'll weigh then. I measured everywhere before surgery. That is great advice. I have lost an inch and a half in my neck and an inch in my upper arms, etc. I have no regrets. My only possible complaints are stupid!!! I have a metallic taste in my mouth and I have to keep a sweater close by because I get cold. " The only thing that we know will fail is to keep doing the sames things we have always done. " At least I can say I tried! What are you waiting for???
