Guest guest
I have been on OxyContin now for over 2 years. Right now I am trying to get off of it and am almost done with them for good I hope. When I was one them some people said I looked doped up. I didn't feel this way but when I look back at pictures of me my eyes were always half closed. I was taking 40 mg twice a day for a long time. My wife told me that I was so slow to respond to anything when I was on 20 mg twice a day and up. I never even realized this. I asked some other people and they said the same thing. Now that I am off of them for the most part I feel way more alert. OxyContin worked great for my pain. I don't know what I would have done without it. Now that I have had a total pancreatectomy w/ islet cell transplant I don't have any more pancreas pain at all. It has been great except for the withdrawls from the OxyContin. It has been tough for me to get off of them. Darren
