Guest guest
I was going to go by Walgreens and look for that stuff but was running late to get thekids and couldn't. I do keep sweet tarts with me, they are the same as the glucotabs but far less expensive. I am also starting to be able to recognize when my sugar is dropping. that foggy shakey weird feeling. I hardly take any insuling any more. 2 units with meals and 5 units of lantus at night. I was told to eat whatever I wanted and thats been kind of fun. Haven't been able to do that in a really long long time. Darren thats a great idea about the cable and downloading it. I have the accuchek advantage and it has a port but I dont know where to get the cable. Please send me that page that has the one for free. I could keep one at home and one in the car. They want me to check it 10-12 times a day now. I have hypoed a couple of times since the seizure but at least I can recognize it now. Heidi how does lunch at the Mustard Seed Sound? I have plans for Monday, tuesday and thursday so it may have to be next week. Let me know when you are planning to visit Lindy and we can work something out. Maybe we can get all the other Carolina girls to join us if given enough to plan. I went to the grocery store for the first time today. It has been 6- 7 months since I have gone by myself. What a lark, I must have looked like a complete lunatic, ginning from ear to ear so happy to be thumping my own melons and and pinching meat. May have over done it a bit was really sore when I got home. I can get a little over zealous at times and really need to remind myself to continue to take things slowly. I am actually thinking about going back to work. It is so hard to believe that just a few months ago I could barely get out of bed and now I feel like I have been reborn. Even when I had forgotten to take the creon I did not have a bad experience at all. I do take my miralax every day and that certainly helps. But I have to admit I forget the creon a lot more often then I should. I dont know why I dont forget anything else. What would Freud have to say about that....lol. Fliss please tell Jim that you will be in my prayers on tuesday and if you ever want to talk about it please feel free to email me or even call if you would like. I unfortuneatley have had a great deal of expereinces with prostate CA; some good some not so good. Ask me anything but know that my heart is with you both. Thank you all again for all the good info, I have learned so much from each and every member of this board. I hope that in some small way I have and can return that priviledge. Guest guest
Chrissy, if you can't get to Walgreens you can still buy the Insta-glucose online. It can take a bit to learn your signs of an oncoming hypoglycemia attack as it varies from person to person. It does sound like you'll be off insulin soon if you are taking so little now. I'm glad that you are able to eat anything you want. Just remember to take it easy and you'll be fine. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
