Guest guest
Why can't they fill the Rx with adult Singulaire tablets and let you grind them up and mix them in applesauce or something? I have to do this every day with Katera's seizure meds. There might be some slight trace of starch that you can't avoid in the adult tabs, but at least there's none of the other nasty sweeteners and junk. I can't believe all the garbage they put in children's formulas.... and that a DAN doctor would prescribe it this way to a kid who is on SCD!!! Grrrrr! Patti singulaire for revved up immune system my 32 month old asd son has a revved up immune system & strongly increased amounts of mercury. we just got his 2nd heavy metal and immune tests back. our dan doctor prescribed singulaire for his immune system but it looks like it is loaded with illegals. these are 4mg chewables which include aspartame, cherry flavor, magnesium stearate, croscarmellose sodium, mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, red ferric oxide, montelukast sodium. i am sure there is several ingreds which he should avoid. is this legal and if not, is their another option for singulaire? Guest guest
It's not legal. What about Singulair inhaler? Have you called a compounding pharmacy to see if it can be made SCD legal somehow? I'd call Lee Silsby Pharmacy in Ohio even if you don't order from them. Talk to Allan the pharmacist there. He's super duper SCD savvy with the meds. Guest guest
The adult pill is a 10 mg pill, I believe, versus the 4 mg chewable so it would at least have to be split in half. My son takes this, too, to help control his severe lung disease. Looks like we will be trying to find a compounding pharmacy, too ... Guest guest
Singulair is still patented, so it can't be compounded. Our DAN doc Rx'd it too, but in the form oral granules since the chewables are so full of garbage. Not sure if it is SCD legal though. I have just heard of the chewables, adult pills and granules. Ingr in the granules- 4.2 mg montelukast sodium (active ingr) mannitol, hydroxyproplyl cellulose and magnesuim stearate. We tried it twice and both days dd threw up one hour later. We put it on hold until we are through the cold and flu season and more stable. Tracey What about Singulair inhaler? Guest guest
Is baked fruit considered " well cooked, " or must it be cooked on the stove top like apple sauce? -
