Guest guest
Its been about 8 weeks since I had the tp-ict. I feel better now then I have in years. This was definetly the cure and I am so much looking forward to returning to my normal life. What ever that may be. Well I haven't worked since last june and that was for a very short time after I returned from having the whipple and I only lasted a month. So really I have not worked since last October, 2003. When I had the sphincteroplasty I went back to work and lasted about a month before I went acute and had to be admitted with the tube feeds and blah blah. Well so for all accounts and purposes it has really been well over a year since I have worked. I am a RN BSN. The doc told me the other day not to even think about returning to the gym for atleast another month. Nursing can be a very physically demanding position. Well part of me is just dieing to get back to work and another part of me is saying give it time because I am still taking narcotic pain meds and should wait until I am 100% strong enough. But the money is another issue. When do ya'll think is a good time to start thinking about returning to the work force. There will be lots of paper work that will need to be done. Its not like I will walk in there and be hired on the spot and start working the next day. It just doens't work like that. So what do ya'll think is a suitable amount of healing time. I dont want to hurt myself by returning too soon but then again I am just aching to get my life back. I am really eager to hear what ya'll have to say. Thanks Chrissy
