Guest guest
I went to my local hemotologist Friday and he was NOT happy that my surgeon " allowed " a fistula and was very negative. I was told that 30% of whipple surgeries end up with a fistula due to the panc enzymes leaking during surgery/after. One of my home healthcare nurses said fistulas occur with the best drs. and the worst drs. What is done is done. Any suggestions/experiences on this? Should I have stayed in AZ and had someone here do it? I know this is a stupid game to play --- but this fistula has set me back at least two months with the pain and healing...
