Oh what a relief. I remember that feeling all to well. My husband actually

came home crying from work early when I called him to tell him the baby was

only a carrier. Honestly I thought something terrible had happened between the

time he came home and when I spoke with him to give him the news. He was just

so overwhelmed that it all hit him then.

Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and the birth of your baby.

I just got off of the phone with the genetic counselor. She called with

the results today (I really was not expecting to hear until next week)

" Baby Brother " IS a " r only " he does not have CF! Thank you all for

keeping us in your thoughts while we waited for an answer. We are trying

not to make a big deal of it in front of , since we do not want to

hurt her feelings since she has CF but we are pleased.

Yea! Congratulations! I've been following your quest for results

and am thrilled to hear it all turned out so well. Having recently

waited for those results, I know all too well how you feel/felt. Our

son will also be a carrier. I'll never forget the morning the

genetics counselor called us. I was about to walk out the door to

take our oldest to preschool, and her cheerful voice greeted me. My

heart was beating so fast and I was so relieved that after we got off

the phone I promptly vomited and cried. My oldest was really

confused by my behavior. I had to explain that sometimes mommies

cried happy tears!
